Middle-aged man Li Qiang (Ge You) is caught in a triple trouble of career, family and himself: the company is mired in triangular debts, debt collectors come to the office every day, debtors often ask him out to sing, eat, drink and play for free, but never ask him to pay back the money; his wife suspects that he has an affair with his secretary (Kelly Lin), and his son (Chen Bolin) comes home from the United States for vacation, like a mute, not saying a word; he often has headaches, and a checkup finds a shadow in his brain, which may be cancer. In order to turn his life around and pave the way for his family after his possible death, he decides to buy Frank's (John Savage) ancestral cheese company. Frank, who is over 50 years old, has another unknown situation. The ancestral company is not making enough money, he divorced his wife, and his daughter went to a drug rehabilitation center, so he took a risk and tried to come to China to sell his worthless company and then escape. Two middle-aged men of different races but in the same predicament are eager to solve the problems they encounter, and now they are inextricably linked. The female secretary, the mine boss (played by Liu Hua) and other characters who appear around them also have their own unknown mental illnesses. Where will these ordinary people in this world go?
