Adapted from the 2007 Taliban hostage-taking incident involving South Koreans, the film tells the story of how negotiation expert Jung Jae-ho (Hwang Jung-min) and National Intelligence Service agent Park Dae-sik (Hyun Bin) in charge of Middle East affairs team up to negotiate with terrorists to rescue the hostages after the South Korean hostage-taking incident in Afghanistan.
