Adapted from the novel of the same name by Tianxia Bachang, it tells the story of Zhang Baoqing, a young Beijing man who went to Yingtun in Northeast China alone in the late 1980s to find medicine for his mentor. However, he accidentally found an ancient map and started to explore the cenote with a group of young geologists. During the expedition, the young man was not afraid of danger and bravely defeated the greedy forces. He deeply realized that human greed will eventually destroy the balance of nature, and gradually grew from an ignorant boy to a responsible hero.
