In 1965, on a small island called New Penzance, there was a team of scouts stationed in the Ivanhoe Camp. Scout instructor Ward (Edward Norton) found that the schoolboy Sam (Jared Gilman) left a letter and ran away one morning, so Ward and a group of scouts began to look for Sam, and the island policeman Sharp (Bruce Willis) also started a search around the island.
