The story takes place in the 1960s. Huang Dani (played by Wang Qianhua) and Sun Mulin (played by Shen Hang) are a newly married couple who have just started a family. However, before their happy life begins, the geological survey team where Sun Mulin is located encounters a landslide, and the former's whereabouts are unknown. After losing the news of her husband, the desperate Huang Dani married Niu Jianbang (played by Cao Zheng) with a child in her belly.
