Plot:
Tiedan's love started early. He fell in love with Meijie (played by Ye Lan, an adult Meijie) at the age of eight. The Cultural Revolution banned the singing of local opera Errentai, and also drove away Meijie's family. After more than ten years, Tiedan (played by Feng Si) has become a man. As Meijie (played by Du Huanrong, middle-aged Meijie) and her three daughters returned home, it seemed that he could not forget Meijie. Tiedan first had a private relationship with his eldest daughter (played by Ye Lan) but failed, but was forced to marry the second daughter (played by Ge Xia) as "compensation". In the end, he decided to wander with the troupe, but it was the youngest of Meijie's family (played by Ye Lan) who went out with him... It is said that Errentai is not available every day, and love songs can never be sung.
