In 1937, the Songhu Anti-Japanese War broke out and the war quickly spread to Suzhou. The wife and daughter of jeweler Fang Yuan were killed in a bombing by a traitor. In order to avenge his blood feud, Fang Yuan abandoned his family business and embarked on the road of anti-Japanese resistance, starting a revenge operation of assassinating traitors alone.
