In the early 20th century, Edward, a colonial official of the British Empire, was stationed in the far East. He took a train from Yangon to Mandalay, waiting for his fiancée Molly to arrive by boat. Unexpectedly, when the steamer was about to dock, he lost his courage and jumped on the ship to Singapore and left in a hurry. Even so, Edward's cowardly act did not deter Molly. Instead, they embarked on a journey of chasing each other, and by crossing Siam, Saigon, Manila, Osaka, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Chengdu, they started a series of explorations and pursuits in the unfamiliar Far East continent.
