In the 1981 French election, the left overthrew the conservatives' long-term rule for the first time, and people happily took to the streets of Paris to celebrate the rebirth of their country. However, Elizabeth, who had just experienced illness and divorce, faced a difficult challenge. She had no work experience and had to return to society to raise her son who aspired to be a poet, her daughter who was full of social ideals, and a street stranger who she temporarily took in by chance. Under one roof, four completely different souls struggled to survive in the intoxicating Paris; the cruelty and unbearableness of life were gently soothed by the night by the Seine River with the swaying and psychedelic music.
